Check out our latest DIY and home improvement projects. From a fresh coat of paint to a full kitchen renovation, we’re always doing something to make our house a home.
All things design, shopping, and a whole lot of ideas to inspire you. The beauty is often in the details and we’re obsessively looking to find them.
It’s not all drywall dust and design revisions. Sometimes we travel, whip up a new recipe, and enthusiastically talk about how much we love our dogs.

Last year and the year before, we had some ambitious plans and goals on the home renovations front.
This coming year is going to look quite a bit different for us, but I’m looking forward to the pivot. Instead of focusing on projects and changing things, we are going to prioritize enjoying what we’ve created so far. Our house still has room for improvements, and I’m sure we will still take on smaller projects, but overall we feel like we’re done.
It’s a weird feeling for me honestly. What is this? Contentment? Whatever it is, I’m fully embracing it. We’re entering a new season of thinking about what’s next and how to make the most of where we’re at right now.
1. Keep up with this blog.
Last year, I set my goal at posting three times each month on this blog and ended up surpassing that goal by a lot. I’ve found a lot of joy and creative challenges in maintaining this platform and I’m up for the challenge again this year. I’ve been thinking a lot about what this blog will look like without big renovations and I think the shifted direction will be a welcome change of pace. More lifestyle content and approachable projects and less complete gut job renovations.
2. Save money.
We have some big financial goals for this year. We are aiming to save 40% of our income with the end goal of having enough to purchase another house (hopefully in early 2022).
3. Prioritize relaxation.
We are excited to take time to enjoy our completed projects! And we are eager to start traveling again when it’s safe to do so. We already have a few trips planned, but also are looking forward to exploring local destinations. There’s so much to do and see outside of our house! In addition to exploring places, we’re also excited to have time to build our skills with new hobbies.
4. Craft kits.
I opened up a shop at the end of 2020 and I’m excited to see where it can go in the next year. I’m still very new with this shop stuff, but I’m looking forward to further establishing the brand and creating new products. It’s a great creative outlet for me, and even sweeter that I get to share it with the world!
We have a lot to look forward to for the upcoming year. I don’t know exactly what it will look like, but I feel optimistic that it will be full of joy and opportunity if we’re open to it.
